The No Hate Speech Network would like to invite 3 young leaders to represent the Network at the World Expression Forum (WEXFO) YOUTH UTOYA 2023 in Norway. Application deadline is Monday 13 March .
WEXFO Youth takes place 19-21 May at Utøya, the island that was attacked by a right wing terrorist 22nd of July 2011, and will gather young innovators, activists, and community leaders to highlight how young people locally and globally fight for freedom of expression. Please read more in the concept note.
We want to ensure that young people’s perspectives, suggestions, and calls for action are clearly expressed and taken into account during WEXFO at Lillehammer 22-23 May the following days. WEXFO Youth Utøya will be in charge of one of the sessions at World Expression Forum 2023. Participants at the youth event are also invited to attend the main event at Lillehammer.
Members who would like to express interest, are invited to send out a Motivation letter, expressing clearly and precisely why they would be the right candidate for the event and how have they contributed on a local, national or international level as a changemaker. All expressions of interest should be sent using this template to our email: nohatespeechnet@gmail.com by March 13.
Target group are changemakers between the ages of 18-35 years.
Criteria for particiation:
- Age between 18-35 year at the time of the conferecne
- Member of the No Hate Speech Network (either your organisation or individual membership)
