Meet the new board

The General Assembly of the No Hate Speech Network, held on 29 April 2026, brought together new and old members to reflect on the Network’s achievements, strengthen its strategic vision, and elect the new Board for the upcoming mandate. The board consists of 7 activists, stakeholders and young professionals from 5 different countries.

This is the new board:

Martin Mlynár – Chairperson

Martin has been actively involved in combating hate speech since 2013 through both the national campaign committee in Slovakia and the international activists’ team of the Council of Europe’s No Hate Speech Movement campaign.

Following the conclusion of the campaign, he became one of the founding members of the No Hate Speech Network during its first General Assembly in Strasbourg. Since 2024, he has served as Treasurer and Board Member of the Network, before being elected Chairperson in April 2026.

Alongside his engagement in the human rights sector, Martin works as Head of Social Media at SME, a major media house in Slovakia, and also manages a full-service marketing agency.

Outside of his professional activities, he is passionate about running and travelling.


Alketa Çipi – Vice Chairperson & Communications Officer

Alketa is human rights educator, trainer, and youth activist working in the field of youth empowerment, non-formal education, and social activism.

For the past 6 years, she has been working with and for young people through local and international projects, trainings, campaigns, and workshops. As a trainer in human rights education, She uses non-formal education methods to engage, empower, and educate young
people from diverse backgrounds, including young people with fewer opportunities.

Her work focuses on hate speech prevention, inclusion, digital safety, human rights education, and creating positive online spaces. She has led local campaigns promoting human rights and active youth participation. She strongly believes that through cooperation, education, and activism, we can create safer and more inclusive spaces for young people.

Seda Hakobyan – Secretary & Membership Officer

Seda is a social worker and specialist in mediation and conflict resolution based in Armenia. Her work focuses on the human rights of women, children, persons with disabilities, and other vulnerable and marginalized groups, as well as on environmental protection, education, health rights, and political participation. Through her professional and activist experience, she has contributed to empowerment initiatives, advocacy efforts, and the creation of safer and more inclusive spaces.

Her work also addresses the prevention of hate speech and violence and supports social justice and community wellbeing.


Anna Mária Janetková – Treasurer


Anna is dedicated to human rights education, inclusion, and the creation of safer spaces for young people. Through her involvement in international youth projects and non-formal education initiatives, she focuses on combating hate speech, strengthening youth participation, and empowering young people to become active contributors within their communities.

Her work is guided by the values of empathy, solidarity, critical thinking, and the belief that every individual deserves dignity both online and offline.


Luiza Vardanyan – Coordinator for Advocacy & Solidarity Support

Luiza is a human rights lawyer and researcher from Armenia working on advocacy at both national and international levels. Her areas of expertise include freedom of expression, hate speech, gender-based violence, and the rights of discriminated and marginalized groups.

She is also actively engaged in human rights education for young people and civil society through participatory and non-formal education methodologies. Her work aims to strengthen awareness, civic engagement, and collective action toward a more inclusive and rights-based society.

Panoulis Kalaitzis – Coordinator for Education, Mobilisation, Monitoring & Awareness Raising

Panoulis is a youth worker, trainer, and activist working in the fields of youth participation, non-formal education, climate action, human rights, and combating hate speech. For the past 6 years, he has been involved in local and international youth work initiatives, supporting young people in developing their competences, strengthening their voices, and becoming active contributors to democratic and inclusive societies. Through his work, he combines education, advocacy, civic engagement, and community-building approaches to empower young people and promote meaningful participation at local and European level.

As a trainer and facilitator, he has designed and implemented educational activities, workshops, youth exchanges, and training courses focused on active citizenship, sustainability, social inclusion, human rights education, digital participation, and youth advocacy.

Using non-formal education methodologies, he works with diverse groups of young people, including young people with fewer opportunities, creating learning spaces that encourage dialogue, critical thinking, cooperation, and social responsibility. His work also includes developing and supporting campaigns and initiatives related to climate awareness, democratic participation, combating hate speech, and strengthening European values and social cohesion.

Through these experiences, he has collaborated with youth organisations, civil society actors, local stakeholders, and international networks to promote participation, inclusion, and human rights-based approaches in youth work.


Biljana Janeva – Fundraising Officer

Biljana has spent more than twenty years working on democracy, political dialogue and civic engagement in Southeast Europe, always believing that respectful communication and trust are essential for strong and resilient societies.

As Executive Director of the Ohrid Institute for Economic Strategies and International Affairs in North Macedonia, She has had the privilege of working with political parties, civil society, institutions, journalists and especially with young people to create spaces where dialogue can replace polarization and hate.

“My work has focused strongly on promoting ethical political communication and countering hate speech in public life.”

One of the initiatives closest to her heart is the Declaration for Free and Fair Elections and No Hate Speech, which she authored and facilitated together with the political parties in North Macedonia. Since 2013, the declaration has been endorsed and reaffirmed across election cycles, becoming an important commitment to respectful political discourse and democratic responsibility.

She also initiated the country’s first national Political Dialogue
Program, bringing together representatives from different political parties and ideologies to engage in constructive discussions on reforms, democratic standards and shared challenges. She has always believed that even in divided environments, people can find common ground when dialogue is honest, principled and human.
