Call for intern

We are seeking a motivated and creative intern to support the work of the NHSN. This is a remote position, ideal for individuals passionate about social justice, youth empowerment, and raising awareness of hate speech in Europe. Deadline for applications 1 May.

The No Hate Speech Network (NHSN) is an international organization that aims to prevent and counter hate speech by mobilising and connecting individuals and organisations to support human rights and democracy online and offline. It empowers young people and relevant stakeholders to think critically, act against hate speech and provide support to people targeted.

Main Tasks / Responsibilities:

  • Assisting in the coordination and management of NHSN projects and campaigns.
  • Supporting the promotion of the Network’s initiatives and events.
  • Creating content for NHSN’s social media platforms (Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, Facebook).
  • Contributing to campaign visuals, text creation, and digital outreach.
  • Participating in online meetings and assisting with administrative tasks as needed.
  • Creating fundraising opportunities for the network and its members
  • Application writing for available EU & other funding

What You Will Gain:

  • Professional experience working with an international network.
  • Development of skills such as communication, digital content creation, teamwork, and project management in a multicultural and remote environment.
  • Experience in working with campaigns and advocacy initiatives addressing critical social issues.

Required Qualifications:

  • Eligible for an internship grant (e.g., Erasmus Placement, university grant, or similar).
  • Strong English communication skills (both written and verbal).
  • Willingness to learn, take initiative, and work remotely.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Extra Qualifications:

  • Knowledge or experience with the No Hate Speech Movement or similar initiatives.
  • Experience in advocacy, human rights, or youth organizations.
  • Skills in graphic design, video editing, or digital campaign creation.
  • Passion for promoting equality and combating hate speech.
